Star Tournament Strategy Guide

What is the Star Tournament?

The Star Tournament is a recurring competitive event where you are placed in a bracket of 50 randomly selected players from around the world. Your goal is simply to collect more "Stars" than everyone else in your league before the timer ends.

You earn 1 Star for every level you successfully clear. Finishing in the top 3 spots yields massive payouts of Coins and Boosters.

Strategy #1: The Late Join Trick

This is the most crucial secret to winning: Do not log into the game immediately when the tournament starts!

The servers place players into brackets based on the time they open the app after the event begins. If you log in right at the start (usually midnight or early morning), you will be placed in a "sweaty" bracket full of hardcore players who also logged in specifically for the event.

The Trick: Wait 6 to 12 hours before opening the game. You will be placed into a bracket with casual players who randomly opened the app later in the day. These brackets are drastically easier to win, often only requiring 50-80 stars for 1st place, instead of 300+.

Strategy #2: Pre-stack Your Resources

If you want to push for #1, you need to go in prepared. Top players hoard their resources all week specifically for the tournament:

• Save Unlimited Lives: If you win an unlimited life reward on Wednesday, close the game at the reward screen and DO NOT claim it until the tournament starts on Friday.
• Max Out Win Streak: Never enter a tournament without a max-level win streak. Starting a level with 3 free power-ups on the board is the only way to clear boards in 15 seconds instead of 2 minutes.
• Hoard Coins: Do not spend coins on regular days. Save them exclusively for "+5 Time" extensions during the Star Tournament so you don't lose your Win Streak.
