Can You Play Match Factory Offline?
Everything you need to know about playing without Wi-Fi.
The Short Answer: Yes, but with Limits
Yes! You can play Match Factory offline without an internet or Wi-Fi connection. The game pre-downloads a chunk of levels to your device so you can play on an airplane or during a commute.
However, when you are disconnected, you miss out on almost all of the social and competitive features that make the game so rewarding. Let's break down what works and what doesn't.
✅ What Works Offline
- Playing normal, hard, and ultra-hard levels
- Using your personal stash of coins and boosters
- Making progress through your current map
- Life regeneration (lives still tick up over time based on your phone's clock)
❌ What FAILS Offline
- Teams: You cannot request lives from teammates or help them.
- Events: Star Tournaments and Team Chests will not track your progress.
- In-app Purchases: The store is disabled.
- Syncing: If you delete the app while offline, your progress will be lost.
Important: Don't Lose Your Stars!
If there is an active Star Tournament, we strongly advise against playing offline. The stars you earn while offline will not retroactively apply to the tournament once you reconnect! If you are pushing for the top 3 leaderboard spots, make sure you have a solid connection.
